Over the years, I have seen how easily it can become a parallel agenda — well-intended, but disconnected from pricing, strategy and daily management. That is where it loses impact.
I work with boards and executive teams in environments where regulatory pressure is real and commercial decisions carry long-term consequences. My role is not to add theory, but to help connect sustainability, governance and business logic in a way that holds under scrutiny.
My background — from a competition authority to executive leadership in the energy sector — taught me that regulation has its logic, and so does business. When these two are aligned thoughtfully, sustainability can become a structural source of competitive advantage.
I am comfortable challenging assumptions when necessary. In complex situations, calm judgment, proportion and clarity tend to create better outcomes than strong rhetoric.
